England’s Marc Diakiese(10-0) made a successful UFC debut on Saturday night/Sunday morning, stopping Lukasz Sajewski(13-3) in the second round of a lightweight contest at UFC 204 in Manchester.

A brutal, varied and relentless barrage of strikes from Diakiese, who had trapped Sajewski against the cage, was enough to inspire an intervention from referee Leon Roberts.

It was a nice finish from the undefeated 23-year-old, although it wasn’t the sort of spectacle that we have come to expect from him.

In his last two bouts, Diakiese scored a pair of scintillating KO wins over previously unbeaten fighters in defence of the BAMMA lightweight title. The man known as ‘Bonecrusher’ destroyed Rick Selvarajah in just 24 seconds last September and then starched Kane Mousah in 36 seconds on May 14th at BAMMA 25.

Below is footage of the Mousah KO…

Though his stoppage of Sajewski failed to live up to that sensational savagery, the explosive Diakiese did produce a breathtaking moment earlier in the fight – one that hinted to fans unfamiliar with his previous exploits that he is someone to get very excited about.
