Khabib Nurmagomedov recently suggested he was used as a pawn by the UFC ahead of the fight between Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez.
After finding himself blocked on Twitter by Khabib Nurmagomedov, MMA Fighting and former Fox journalist Ariel Helwani became engaged in a heated argument with the fighter ahead of UFC 205 this weekend.
Although Khabib had maintained Helwani didn’t tell him that he was being played by the UFC as part of the negotiations leading up to Saturday’s main event between Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez, the reporter constantly claimed otherwise, and went so far as to show the Dagastani fighter his phone containing the messages he had sent.
While the duo seemed to make up at the end of the interview, Khabib continued to accuse Helwani of being part of a conspiracy orchestrated by the UFC.
For UFC fans though, Khabib remained tight lipped on the prospect of facing the winner of McGregor Vs. Alvarez, a fight we would all love to see.
