Watch: Alistair Overeem Knees Mark Hunt Into Oblivion At UFC 209

Alistair Overeem successfully rebounded from his loss to UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic last September, as he brutally finished New Zealand’s Mark Hunt at UFC 209 in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

The Dutchman didn’t have things all his own way, as both of the first two rounds were close and debatable. Though he drew blood from his own shins with them, Hunt had success with kicks to the legs and body of Overeem in round one. While in the second, he landed a beautiful elbow that seemed to badly wobble the lanky Jackson-Wink heavyweight.

However, ‘The Reem’ authored a truly chilling conclusion in the third round, pinning Hunt against the cage and tattooing him with a pair of knees, followed by a punch, which sent the kiwi kickboxer crashing to the canvas face-first.

The KO was Overeem’s fifth win in six fights, while Hunt dropped to 2-3 with 1 no-contest in his last six contests.
