After the one hour special from last week, UFC 194 Embedded returns to it’s traditional vlog format and captures some wild antics at Conor McGregor’s base of operation.
The first half of the episode, however, concentrates on the combatants in Saturday night’s co-main event – the UFC middleweight title fight between Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold.
Weidman discusses the merits of pairing a brown shirt with black pants, UFC light-heavyweight Gian Villante’s abs, and the importance of not missing spots when waxing body hair. During his segment, Rockhold talks about his commitment plain oatmeal.
Way to sell the fight guys.
Things pick up as the cameras visit the Aldo camp in Rio de Janeiro. A focused but relaxed looking champion works the pads as his training partners explain how badly he wants to hurt McGregor.
“McGregor talks a lot, so the desire to beat up his opponent is stronger than usual”, states the Brazilian’s coach, Andre Pederneiras. “But he is training normally and is ready to do what he always does, fight well and destroy a sh*t talker”.
The McGregor segment of the show is very Ido Portal heavy. Conor’s movement coach speaks about the development of his methods and his philosophies on fighting, before the fighters move on to some old-school martial arts movie style drills that will have California firefighters anxiously awaiting the Irish contingent’s departure for Las Vegas.
