Video: Jimi Manuwa Sparks Corey Anderson With One-Punch At UFC London, Calls Out David Haye

Jimi Manuwa scored the 15th KO/TKO victory of his professional MMA career in front of his hometown crowd at the O2 Arena on Saturday night and he did so in brutal fashion.

In his last outing ‘The Poster Boy’ consigned Ovince St-Preux to his stacked highlight reel and Corey Anderson now joins ‘OSP’ there as well. As barbarous as that KO of St-Preux was, however, Manuwa’s sparking of Anderson may have been even more so.

A single left hook, that landed high on Anderson’s head, did the job and Manuwa simply strolled away.

After the fight Manuwa, who is ranked fourth at 205lbs, told Dan Hardy that he wants the winner of the upcoming UFC light-heavyweight title fight between Daniel Cormier(c) and Anthony Johnson next.

Should Jon Jones return to action later this year as expected, Manuwa’s chances of landing a title fight this year are slim. However, in a division that looks both stale and thin, a big puncher like the Englishman is an interesting fighter to have floating around the title picture.

Strangely, Manuwa’s call outs didn’t end with ‘DC and ‘Rumble’. The 37-year-old also decided to utter the name of heavyweight boxer David Haye during his post-fight interview.

Why not? I guess.

With the win, Manuwa improved to 17-2 overall and 6-2 in the UFC. Anderson, the winner of The Ultimate Fighter season 19, dropped to 9-3 as a pro and 6-3 in the UFC.
