Nate Diaz may not be doing it on purpose, but his comments on Friday night will have only helped resurrect the prospect of McGregor vs Diaz 2 happening at UFC 200.

At the UFC 200 launch event on Friday respected MMA journalist Ariel Helwani asked Diaz if anyone else interested him ahead of the historic event, with uncertainty still looming over his fight with Conor McGregor.

Diaz was unequivocal in his response, stating that if the fight doesn’t happen he’s ‘going on vacation.’

This is at least one positive to take from Friday’s events due to the fact Diaz has proclaimed he is not willing to fight anyone other than the Dubliner.

For the time being the fight is off, but with Diaz dead set on confronting the Irishman for the second time this year or taking a ‘vacation’ the hope is a compromise can be reached. Only time will tell, though.
