Donald Cerrone just can’t seem to keep his mind off of Conor McGregor.
The Colorado native had a tasty little back and forth with the UFC interim-featherweight champion at the Go Big presser a few weeks back, and since then he seems a tad preoccupied with his “Notorious” counterpart.
For example, on Saturday PunditArena reported that “Cowboy” took a shot at the Dubliner with the release of an interesting new line of tshirts.
Last night, while he was a guest on the latest episode of the immensely successful Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Cerrone continued his attack on McGregor. The lightweight contender called Conor “the Irish muppet” and “McNugget”, as he told the comedian and UFC commentator that “Conor is the leprechaun sitting on a big old pot of gold”.
“If you think that I’m not going to go after that pot of gold, why not? Of course. Come to 155, I got open arms baby!”
Earlier in the podcast, Cerrone had told Rogan that, following his loss to Nate Diaz, he was impervious to the mind games of his rivals. “He[Diaz] got in my head. Absolutely. That s**t don’t happen anymore. Everyone tells me, ‘Conor’s in your head. Dos Anjos is in your head.’ No the f**k they’re not. It was a super lesson”.
Given the regularity with which Cerrone has spoken of Conor since their infamous series of verbal skirmishes, it is very hard to believe those claims.
