Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo had to be pulled apart at a Las Vegas press conference on Friday.
The UFC’s president, Dana White, had to display some muscle to ensure that his UFC 194 pay-per-view main event wasn’t given away for free at last night’s Go Big presser.
The two claimants to the UFC’s featherweight title were called to centre-stage for a face-off, just before Aldo had to dash to make a flight back to Brazil, and all hell almost broke loose.
When the pair got close, Aldo pressed his forehead against the Dubliner’s, inspiring McGregor to push back with added force. At that point White, and a member of the UFC’s security team, had the unenviable task of stepping in between the posturing pair.
The big featherweight unification scrap is still 3 months away, and given the tension evident at every meeting between these two, there is likely to be plenty more of these little skirmishes between now and December 12th.
