The UFC have opened their new HQ in Las Vegas and it is absolutely spectacular. The luxurious building spreads out over 15 acres and is to become a new palace for fighters.
In the video below, CNN take a tour with both Dana White and Forest Griffin to take a look at this amazing site. The new building contains many slick features, such as training zones, saunas, even a translation booth.
Forest Griffin, the vice-president of athlete development in the UFC believes it will help athletes have longer careers. A comparison between Griffin’s fight preparation with the opportunities this will present to fighters shows just how far the sport has progressed.
“So you know I did ice-baths in my bathtub with my wife holding the stopwatch – so this is a little better.”
President Dana White also outlined the difference this brings as opposed to when he first started out all those years ago.
“17 years ago, I started in one little room with a desk and a phone – and to be here today walking through this incredible campus is pretty amazing.”
The UFC often comes in for heavy criticism in how they treat their fighters. With this new facility, however, fighters have an incredible venue at their helm.
