Today, the UFC announced that British lightweight Marc Diakiese will return to the octagon on July 7th. ‘Bonecrusher’ will face fellow unbeaten prospect Drakkar Klose at The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption Finale in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Since signing with the promotion in the middle of last year, Diakiese has fought three times, brutalizing Lukasz Sajewski inside two rounds on his debut in October, securing a unanimous decision win over Frankie Perez in December and starching poor Teemu Packalen in just 30 seconds last month. With those three wins, Diakiese has moved to 12-0 and established himself as one of the most exciting up-and-comers in the UFC.
His opponent, Klose, hasn’t been making the same sort of noise. In his maiden UFC outing in January, the Glendale, Arizona-based fighter claimed a unanimous decision victory over once-beaten Devin Powell at UFC Fight Night 103. It was Klose’s second win since Joshua Aveles inflicted the only blemish on his record by holding him to a draw in February of last year. Of the 29-year-old’s seven wins, four came by way of KO/TKO. The other three came via decision.
So far, the UFC have announced three other fights for the event at the T-Mobile Arena, with Gray Maynard set to take on Teruto Ishihara, Elias Theodorou scheduled to meet Brad Tavares and Steve Bosse lined up to face Jared Cannonier.
