Just as things were going as smoothly as possible on fight-week of UFC 205, it looks like Rashad Evans and Tim Kennedy is set to be cancelled.
The veterans were due to throw down inside the octagon at Saturday’s marquee event in Madison Square Garden, but there has reportedly been an issue with Evan’s medics.
Brett Okamoto of ESPN was informed of the news by UFC President Dana White.
With Dana White right now, tells me Evans/Kennedy is off due to an issue with Evans’s medicals. More info to come.

Rumor is Rashad Evans is in danger of being pulled from #UFC205. My understanding is there are no weight issues. Possible nagging injury.

While this is naturally disappointing news for the promotion, it is clear that it does not spoil the line-up. The card promises to be the biggest and best in the history of the sport, with no less than three title fights.
No official statement has yet been made about the fight, but more light will likely be shed upon the situation in the coming hours.
