Twitter Reacts To Nate Diaz’s Brief But Very Memorable Appearance During UFC Austin Broadcast

Though he was granted mere seconds of screen time during the UFC Fight Night 126 broadcast on Sunday night, Nate Diaz was the star of the show in the eyes of many viewers.

Diaz, who hasn’t fought since dropping a majority decision to Conor McGregor at UFC 202 all the way back in August of 2016, was at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin to support his good friend Yancy Medeiros, who took on Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in the show’s main event.

Moments after Derrick Lewis followed up a dramatic third-round TKO win over Marcin Tybura by making some rather lewd comments in an interview with Jimmy Smith, producers cut to a shot of Diaz sitting cageside in an obvious attempt to restore a little decorum. To everyone’s shock, the normally wholesome Diaz was the wrong man to aid them in doing so on this particular evening. Rather than flashing an award-winning smile, giving two thumbs up or making balloon animals, Diaz proceeded to put a joint in his mouth and gestured that he was about to light it live on Fox Sports 1.

The cameras quickly cut away.

Twitter, obviously, went into meltdown.
