SBG Ireland featherweight prospect Dylan Tuke will face American opposition in his debut for the BRAVE CF promotion at BRAVE 10: The Kingdom Rises in Amman, Jordan on March 2nd, while bantamweight teammate Frans Mlambo takes on a dangerous young Brazilian veteran on the card.
Tuke revealed that he had signed a three-fight deal with the Bahrain-based promotion during an interview with Niall McGrath and Peter Carroll on a December edition of Severe MMA’s Talking Brawls podcast and BRAVE confirmed just a couple of days ago that the Dubliner’s maiden promotional outing will be on the March card at the Prince Hamzah Sports Hall. No opponent was announced at that time.
Today, however, the full fight card was confirmed and Tuke’s opponent was revealed to be Maryland’s Sodiq Yusuff.
Yusuff is coming off of the first defeat of his professional career, a first-round knockout loss to Luis Gomez in December. Prior to that, however, the youngster had won five straight, three via KO/TKO and two by decision.
Tuke, one of our Irish prospects to watch in 2018, turned pro in September of 2015 and rattled off three consecutive wins before being stopped by Cameron Else in December of 2016. He took some time to recoup before returning last November and turning in a tremendous performance to finish the previously unbeaten David Khalsa in the second round at BAMMA 32 in Dublin.
BRAVE also revealed that Mlambo, who has already competed three times for the promotion, will take on Felipe Efrain on March 2nd.
The 24-year-old Efrain is 12-2 with 1 no contest. He has won three straight, two of which have taken place under the BRAVE banner, and all of which have come inside the distance. In his last fight, he ended the unbeaten run of Nawras Abzakh with a flying knee.
Mlambo was a decorated amateur, winning the IMMAF World Championships in the summer of 2015. He turned pro in September of that same year, destroying Darren O’Gorman inside a round at BAMMA 22. He lost two of his next three, including his debut fight for BRAVE CF, but he has rebounded with two straight wins in the promotion.
As previously announced, SBG Ireland middleweight prospect Will Fleury will also feature on the card. He takes on Tarek Suleiman.
