Rose Namajunas has given some insight into what she was thinking as Conor McGregor and a group of men attacked a bus that she was a passenger on.
As footage of Conor McGregor and his entourage attacking a bus full of UFC fighters spread online, multiple reports suggested that Rose Namajunas was extremely shaken up over the incident.
However, despite the fact that the 25-year-old was just inches from one of the broken windows the moment it shattered, Namajunas still put on a clinical display at UFC 223 defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk for the second time in a row and retaining her strawweight title.
Speaking after the event, the American champion explained how the incident mentally affected her stating that she was afraid things were going to go even further than they did.
It shook me up because, like I didn’t know how far it was going to escalate. Like all the guys inside, they wanted to fight back, they wanted to go get off the bus.
But I didn’t know if they’re going to open the door and there all gonna come in here. They were obviously not directly after me but I’m just caught in this scenario so, I don’t know, my imagination goes crazy through all the things that I’ve been through.
