John Kavanagh Responds To Claims That Conor McGregor Was Knocked Out In Sparring

A report has emerged that Conor McGregor was knocked out in sparring on Monday evening, as the Irishman prepares for UFC 205. This raises question marks whether he be able to throw down with Eddie Alvarez in the lightweight title fight.

McGregor’s head coach John Kavanagah was quick to respond.

However, while Kavanagh has clearly rejected the rumours, there is still an element of doubt lingering.

McGregor, in the last hour, was on the phone to a Nevada Athletic Commission hearing, and was participating with the process. There was no talk of the knockout, as the hearing is focused on dealing with the UFC 202 press conference when the McGregor and Nate Diaz camps fired missiles at one another.
