The ongoing dispute between Conor McGregor and the Ultimate Fighting Championship is stealing headlines over the past number of weeks, but it hasn’t stopped lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos from calling out the 145-pound champ once again.
The Brazilian is currently preparing for his upcoming title defense at UFC Fight Night 90 against experienced grappler Eddie Alvarez this July.
The 31-year-old took some time out of training on Thursday to poke fun at McGregor’s brown belt-tying skills on Instagram.
“Brown belt and don’t know how to tie the belt, what a joke”, the post read.
McGregor and dos Anjos were scheduled to meet at UFC 196 in early March but a foot injury left dos Anjos unable to train and he was eventually replaced by Nate Diaz, ending McGregor’s chances of becoming a two-division champion.
The featherweight champion’s ground game has come under scrutiny following his loss to Diaz at UFC 196, succumbing to the Stockton native’s honed Jiu-Jitsu.
UFC Fight Night 90 takes place on July 7th at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
