Khabib Nurmagomedov is just a little bit mental…

With a professional record of 24-0 and riding an eight fight win streak since joining the UFC, Khabib Nurmagomedov feels he is entitled to a shot at the lightweight belt.

Since defeating Michael Johnson at UFC 205, Khabib has tried various measures to ensure he would get a shot at McGregor in his next bout, even threatening retirement at one point.

Although the Russian has since acknowledged that he will likely face Tony Ferguson in his next bout, it seems he didn’t want to put the McGregor issue to rest without firing one final shot at the Irishman.

After the self-proclaimed ‘double champ’ teased the UFC roster on Wednesday evening stating that he was in desperate need of some competition, Khabib quickly responded with a screenshot of a somewhat mental message he had sent to McGregor last week.

Although Khabib is clearly suggesting that the Irishman is afraid to face him, with McGregor set to take an extended break as he awaits the birth of his first child, it looks like this one will have to be temporarily put on ice.
