Paddy Pimblett is one of the more exciting prospects in MMA. The former Cage Warriors champion lost his featherweight title to Nad Narimani last April, but at just 22, there is still hype around the Liverpool native.

There has been a great deal of speculation surrounding his comeback fight, and today it has been announced.

‘The Baddy’ has revealed that his next fight is set for February 24, against Alexis Savvidis, who boasts a record of 16-6-1. The most notable aspect of this announcement is that it is taking place at lightweight.

Pimblett announced the news on social media in typically bullish fashion.

“So I’ve got an opponent for my return, it didn’t really matter who it was there’s only 1 outcome, me with my hand raised and 8000 scousers celebrating ???? tickets online now I know times are hard before Christmas so till midnight tonight the tickets are 20% off!!!!!”

Two title fights are also booked for the card, with middleweight champion Luke Chadwick facing a yet-to-be-named opponent, while there will be a clash for the inaugural women’s flyweight title, with Molly McCann facing a TBC fighter.

It promises to be a cracking night of Mixed Martial Arts.
