MMA Fans Outraged As Conor McGregor Lands Top Two Spots In Top 25 Fights Of All-Time

MMA fans were left outraged last night as Fox Sports revealed their top four fights of all time. The man at the centre of this controversy was of course, Conor McGregor, though it must be said, he can’t be blamed for this.

Over the last week Fox have been revealing their top 25 UFC fights of all-time and fans have been discussing whether or not certain fights should have ranked higher or lower.

For example, two fights which many fight-fans feel should have placed higher are Swanson v Choi (ranked #18) and Jones v Gustaffson (ranked #7)

However, for the most part, fans of the sport weren’t too aggrieved with the decisions and were enjoying the list.

That is of course until the list reached it’s final four last night.

With McGregor v Diaz 2 yet to appear on the list, most fans were in dispute of the fight making their top four. However, what happened next nobody could have predicted.

Not only was McGregor v Diaz 2 in the top four, it landed the number one spot. But things got even more heated when McGregor v Diaz 1 was also placed at number two.

This meant in Fox’s eyes both fights topped classics such as Lawler v MacDonald 2 and Henderson v Shogun.

The full list can be seen in this tweet:

Needless to say, fans were not happy and made no secret of how they felt about the decision.

It appeared as though even Fox might have acknowledged the decision as a mistake.

Did you think the list was misjudged? Or are the pair of McGregor-Diaz bouts the greatest fights of all-time?
