MMA Fans Destroy Khabib Nurmagomedov As Comeback Plan Emerges

Looks like Khabib Nurmagomedov isn’t going to be forgiven for the UFC 209  fiasco any time soon…

After the fight was cancelled on two previous occasions, Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson was described as ‘the people’s main event’ at UFC 209. However, just over 24 hours before the bout was due to take place, the Russian pulled out and the contest was cancelled for a third time.

Tony Ferguson has now stated that he is ready to throw down with a top contender sooner rather than later. However with Conor McGregor on a career break and Nate Diaz seemingly uninterested in making a comeback, booking a fight has proved extremely difficult for the 33-year-old.

Now, news has emerged that Khabib is looking to get back in the octagon once Ramadan has concluded and he has been afforded some time to train. Reported by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, the number one ranked lightweight contender wishes to book a title fight in August or September.

Responding to his manager’s claims that he wants a title bout upon his return, fans took to Twitter to slate the Russian for the mere audacity of the ambition given his outrageous withdrawal from UFC 209 the day before the event.

Having now been disappointed by Khabib on multiple occasions, it seems that even his own fans do not wish to see him afforded the opportunity to let them down again, until he proves that he deserves it.
