When so many people are already calling you the pound for pound king and even the greatest fighter of all time, it’s really hard to go out there and shock folks with the sheer quality of your performance. Yet, last night in Kansas City, UFC flyweight champion Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson once again did exactly that.
Johnson tied Anderson Silva’s record for most UFC title defences, 10, by thoroughly outstriking Wilson Reis for a little more than two rounds at UFC on Fox 24, before taking the Brazilian down and submitting him with a beautifully executed armbar in the embers of the third.
And Still! Can't deny that @MightyMouseUFC is one of the p4p greatest #UFCKansasCity pic.twitter.com/ASrEKq1Zia

Johnson became the first fighter ever to secure the tap from Reis, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, and the first to finish the 32-year-old veteran since current Bellator bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas did it via KO back in 2011.
After the fight, Johnson called for a seven-figure payday and proclaimed himself the GOAT.

He wouldn’t be the last person to do so that night.
At the post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White said, “It’s hard not to call this guy the greatest of all time.”
Hard, indeed. But few were resisting the urge to do so on Twitter in the aftermath of what was arguably Johnson’s best display to date.

Let's appreciate Demetrious Johnson as much as we can folks. He won't be around forever. The dude is a Goddamn phenom. Arguably the GOAT.

When Demetrious Johnson fights to break the record for most consecutive title defences that needs to be 1 of the most promoted fights ever.
