Although most Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor news is pretty much scoffed at, the latest update has fight fans legitimately excited.
Expecting his first child next month, Conor McGregor has quietened down somewhat of late when it comes to his proposed super-fight with Floyd Mayweather.
However, in the meantime, the undefeated boxer has seriously upped the ante and, speaking during his ongoing tour of the UK, the 40-year-old announced on Friday evening, that he wanted to officially announce that he was coming out of retirement to face the Irishman.
Although Mayweather simultaneously announced that he wanted to see the fight happen in June, that date seems a bit unrealistic given the fact that McGregor’s child isn’t expected until the end of April.
However, reporting on the highly anticipated bout, LA Times journalist Lance Pugmire stated that he had recently spoken to Irish boxer, Mick Conlan, and that the fighter dropped some massive news with regard to the proposed Mayweather vs McGregor bout.

Conlan is a close friend of McGregor’s and will even be escorted to the ring by the UFC Champion when he makes his pro-debut in Madison Square Garden later this month.
As such, the latest update should hold some serious weight and it now very much seems like the Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather bout is looking very likely indeed.
