Michael Bisping Drops Injury Update After Second Knee Procedure

Michael Bisping has just posted an update on Instagram having undergone a second minor procedure on his recovery from a torn miniscus.

The UFC recently confirmed the news that Britain’s first UFC champion, Michael Bisping, would be facing Georges St-Pierre later this year. Although a date for the bout has not yet been set, it is believed that the pair will throw down at some point towards the end of the summer.

However, despite the fact that the bout has been officially confirmed, fans were given quite the scare this morning after Michael Bisping dropped an Instagram update announcing that he had just come out of sedation after a second knee procedure.

Rather insanely however, the middleweight champion also announced that he would require ‘no recovery’ from the treatment and that he would be back in the gym on the very same day.

Just had a little final procedure done to my knee to help it help long term. No recovery, I’ll be in the gym later today, but I was sedated. They took fat from my stomach (liposuction) and injected it into my knee. Cutting edge stuff. Thank you @stevemoramd for helping and also for eliminating the need for some sit ups 🙂 win, win!
