Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor were surprisingly subdued at Wednesday’s pre-fight press conference but it only took one vocal fan to get right under the skin of the boxing supremo.
Having already faced off four times during their whirlwind four-stop press tour last month, the pair appeared far more restrained and focused on Wednesday, their minds and energies firmly focused on Saturday night, when they step into the ring for their hotly anticipated clash.
Following the conclusion of the press event, Mayweather and his vast entourage were last to leave the stage. Before leaving, Mayweather got his hands on the newly-minted ‘Money Belt’ and hung around for some photo opportunities with the assembled press and fans.
Looking relaxed and comfortable with the jewel-encrusted strap, the 40-year-old’s attention was caught by a pro-McGregor member of the crowd as he insisted that Mayweather not get too comfortable holding the belt.
The remark appeared to irritate the boxer as his demeanour instantly changed and he confronted the heckler.
Take a look.

Having just been through a war of words with the MMA star, it is somewhat surprising that a fan could seemingly strike a chord with the boxer, who left the stage while issuing threats to ‘put muzzles on everyone’.
With the schoolyard posturing and threats coming from Mayweather’s ever present entourage of ‘heavies’, this latest episode in the build-up to Saturday’s main event will be just another reminder that the most lucrative fight in combat history simply can’t come soon enough.
