Reports are emerging that Max Holloway has been declared medically unfit for a lightweight title fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The Brooklyn card has endured an unprecedentedly bumpy build-up, losing Tony Ferguson last week, and last night’s debacle involving Conor McGregor has sent shockwaves through the entire sport of MMA.

According to reports, Max Holloway has now been ruled out of the fight with the Russian.

It appears that the UFC are attempting to claw together the PPV, as Anthony Pettis is being called upon to step in for Holloway.

Holloway has since broken his silence, apologising to his opponent.

A truly bizarre week has taken another twist.
