Khabib Nurmagomedov Finally Releases Statement Regarding UFC 209 Hospitilisation

Khabib Nurmagomedov has put out a brief statement after being hospitilised just one day before UFC 209.

Scheduled to fight Tony Ferguson in the T-Mobile Arena on Saturday night, the MMA world were left anxiously awaiting Khabib Nurmagomedov’s arrival at Friday’s official weigh-ins as rumours began to circulate that the Russian had been hospitalised.

Details later emerged confirming that the 28-year-old had encountered some severe difficulties in attempting to cut weight for the fight and, having suffered some sharp pain in his liver, he was forced to go to hospital.

Although the future is still somewhat unclear for Khabib, the undefeated fighter has now put out a short statement on his official Instagram account addressing the incident and his current state of health.

Whoever you are or whatever you do, you’ll get only what God prescribed for you.
AlhamduliLlah for everything God gifted me for my 28 years, I got much more than I asked. I know that many people was waiting for this fight and I fail them.
Want to bring my apologies for all my fans, UFC and my opponent Tony.
My health is fine now, thanks God. These tough testing only makes me stronger.
Thank everyone for the support.
