As the world of MMA prepares for the fast approaching UFC 205 event in New York on November 12, many fans will also be anticipating the long-touted ‘left field’ announcement set to be made by Conor McGregor.
The UFC featherweight king will bid to become the promotion’s first simultaneous two-weight champion when he takes on Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight strap at Madison Square Garden, with much coverage in the media on both fighters’ preparations and predictions.
Despite this, the possibilities of what UFC president Dana White calls a huge ‘left field’ announcement by McGregor, continue to occupy the minds of fans.
Now, in an interview with The42.ie, McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh, pulled back the veil of secrecy ever so slightly to reveal that whatever the ‘Notorious’ one has to say following his clash with Alvarez, fans should not be concerned.
In fact, according to Kavanagh, fans can expect positive news.
“I’ve heard him say a few different things and they’re all positive. Whatever way he goes with this, it’s only positive.
“Conor has such a hyperactive mind and a hyperactive body, you’d never know what’s going to happen with him. But for sure it’s a positive announcement. I know people are going to enjoy what he has to say.”
