Conor McGregor Vs Floyd Mayweather Has Finally Been Announced

After months and months of speculation, the super-fight that no one can stop talking about has finally been confirmed.

After Conor McGregor finally signed the fight contract last month, boxing and MMA fans alike were left wondering why Floyd Mayweather had not signed the deal.

Speaking about the undefeated boxer to ESPN last week, John Kavanagh also expressed his surprise that the boxer was ‘dragging his heels’ explaining that McGregor had already begun training for the fight as if it was booked.

Now, Mayweather is dragging his heels a little bit, I guess. It’s been over a week since Conor made his public announcement. I’m not quite sure what the delay is. Mayweather seemed anxious to do it in June. Obviously, that date is kind of gone. There’s a September date that’s been talked about. I don’t know why he hasn’t signed yet.

After months of speculation, Kevin Iole from Yahoo Sports broke the news first before both fighters confirmed the news themselves.

Terms for the fight are yet to be announced, however, as per Yahoo Sport, it will go ahead on August 26th at either the MGM Grand or T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
