Irish MMA’s rising star Will Fleury has signed a deal with Bellator.
MMA Fighting reported on Wednesday afternoon that a deal has been truck for the 4-0-0 middleweight to join Bellator, and this was seemingly confirmed by the man himself as he took a screenshot of the headline for an Instagram post.
Fleury’s star has been on the ascendancy since he began his professional career in 2016, going unbeaten thus far (though he has had to contend with a frustratingly high number of pull-outs from would-be opponents). His last bout came at Brave 10 against Tarek Suleiman, and although it was the first time that he saw a fight go the distance, the Tipperary native still claimed the win by unanimous decision.
Bellator have yet to confirm when Fleury is likely to fight for the organisation for the first time, but hopes are high that he can become the next Irishman to scale the heights at the top of the MMA ladder.
