The familiar face on the cover of EA Sports’ newest edition of the UFC game is probably not the most surprising of choices.
On Friday it was announced that outspoken Irishman Conor McGregor would feature on the cover of UFC 3 having briefly dipped his toe in the boxing game after claiming belts in two separate weight divisions.
This will be the second successive year that the Irishman will feature on the cover of the game.
“Two belts, two covers – EA Sports got it right again,” McGregor is quoted as saying in Forbes.
“It’s an honour to be on the cover and I can’t wait to play the game.”

The game’s trailer, which also heavily involves the highly marketable McGregor, can be viewed below.
The game, which includes a career mode that focuses on real-life rivalries is to be released on Xbox ONE and Playstation and is due to be on our shelves on February 2 2018.
