UFC fighters should be left in no uncertain terms about the their chances of getting that ‘big money’ fight so many are now demanding. Unless you are Conor McGregor, it seems you could be fresh out of luck.
UFC president Dana White was in no mood for any fighter demands on Friday following the cancellation of the lightweight interim title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson.
The Russian failed to turn up for his official weigh in ahead of his clash with Ferguson following reports he had been admitted to hospital earlier in the day. The cancellation of what many called the ‘peoples main event’ leaves a massive hole in the highly anticipated event on Saturday.
Afterwards, White was clearly irked by the ever present chorus of fighters seeking a big pay day. Take a look.

White emphatically spelled it out for his roster of fighter, unless you can pull in the big pay-per-view numbers, then just “shut up and fight”. The UFC boss stated,
“Conor is the guy. If you’re not him, shut up. Ok?”
Since McGregor’s blistering rise through the UFC ranks and ultimate domination of the featherweight division, fighters have been looking to emulate the Irishman, at least when it comes to getting paid, that is.
McGregor is the big money draw for White and UFC bosses and as such has been able to demand and earn more money than any fighter ever before.
For those fighters looking for their own piece of the pie, White’s message is clear, bring in the money if you want to get the money. Simple.
