Dana White Warns McGregor – UFC Will Move On Without Him

Dana White has fired a stern warning at Conor McGregor in the midst of the Irish star’s ‘beg me’ comments.

With MMA fans around the world anxiously awaiting Conor McGregor’s return to the Octagon, the UFC’s lightweight champion recently sent out a string of tweets explaining the hold-up.

Essentially, McGregor is holding out for the UFC brass to meet his demands – demands which he feel match his true ‘worth’ to the promotion.

However, it seems as if Dana White has no interest in the ‘Notorious’ Irishman’s ultimatum as he has recently made comments of his own suggesting that the promotion has no issue moving on without their most infamous star.

Speaking on Fox Sports ‘Undisputed’, White also claimed that, despite the fact that McGregor did not enter the Octagon in 2017, it was the best year in the company’s history.

If Conor McGregor fights next year, that’ll be awesome,” said White. “If Conor McGregor doesn’t fight, the UFC is going to go on.

“I’ve been hearing this since 2003. ‘What are you going to do when Chuck Liddell’s gone? What are you going to do when Georges St-Pierre leaves? You’re in big trouble when Anderson Silva’s gone! The list goes on and on. Ronda Rousey.

Last year was the best in the company’s history. So we’re going to keep finding new talent and putting on the best fights in the world. That’s what we’re going to continue to do, with or without anybody.”

Meanwhile, should McGregor actually decide to come back, a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov is looking increasingly likely with the pair firing multiple shots at one another on social media.
