Dana White Finally Confirms Who Georges St-Pierres Will Make His Comeback Against

Georges St-Pierre’s return to the UFC has been one of the most drawn out sagas in the history of MMA. However, having agreed terms on a new contract, Dana White has now confirmed who GSP will take on in his comeback bout.

Although it had been suggested that Georges St-Pierre would take on Anderson Silva upon his return, UFC President Dana White has now confirmed that the Canadian will in fact face Michael Bisping for the middleweight title in what is sure to be one of the biggest fights of the year.

Speaking about the return of the UFC legend, White had stated that the former welterweight champion could comeback at any weight class from 155lbs to middleweight. With that, many believed that a titanic bout with Conor McGregor was on the cards at some point in the future.

However, with this latest announcement, it seems that GSP has gone the other direction, moving up in weight rather than down to lightweight. It is a decision that will surely see Yoel Romero in rage mode as the Cuban had looked nailed on to be given a title shot as the number one contender in the 185 lbs division.

However, as has often been the case with the UFC of late, another money fight has been prioritised over a number one contender being granted a deserved title shot.

Breaking the news, Dana White also announced that fans have a huge event to look forward to this Friday evening as both GSP and Bisping will attend a press conference to promote the super-fight.
