Mixed Martial Arts was passed into law in the State of New York yesterday, and the UFC were on hand at the event to greet the news with open arms. It has been confirmed that Madison Square Garden in New York City will host UFC 205, and it has been promised that the card will be high profile.

This naturally led to huge amounts of speculation as to which fighters may headline the event.

Cristiane Justino, better known as Cris ‘Cyborg’ is one of the biggest additions to the UFC roster in the past year. The female featherweight was for years touted as the only woman on earth capable of beating the then undefeated Ronda Rousey.

Of course, Holly Holm beat Cyborg to it, and the rest is history, but Rousey has not yet returned to the octagon.

Cris Cyborg is expected to account for Leslie Smith for her debut in the promotion at UFC 198, and is already planning her path to the top.

The Californian took to Twitter to call out Rousey for UFC 205 in the Big Apple.

This is a fight that fans have been wanting to see for several years now, and surely is one fitting to launch the UFC in New York.

It will be fascinating to see if Dana White and Co. will go for it.
