Conor McGregor’s Manager Releases Official Statement

NEW YORK, NY - APRIL 06: Ultimate fighting star Conor McGregor stands with his lawyer Jim Walden during an arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal court on April 6, 2018 in New York City. McGregor is facing criminal charges in the wake of a backstage melee he allegedly instigated that has forced the removal of three fighters from UFC's biggest card of the year. The aftermath of Conor McGregor’s antics on Thursday night have shaken MMA to the core. The UFC superstar’s behaviour was widely condemned, with Dana White going in particularly hard on the issue.

“I don’t know if he’s on drugs or what his deal is. But to come and do this and act like this? And you’re talking about a guy who had a baby? He just had a kid. This is how you’re acting? You have a son at home.”

Today, McGregor’s manager Audie Attar has made an official statement, defending his client.

“So much rumour and misinformation about my client, Conor McGregor. The matter is in the hands of law enforcement and I cannot really say more. Conor is a great father, a fiercely loyal friend, and one of the best athletes in the world. He looks forward to getting back to fighting as soon as possible.”

There is huge doubt surrounding McGregor’s current relationship with the UFC following the recent developments, but it seems he remains adamant that he will fight again.
