UFC lightweight, Nate Diaz, wasn’t impressed with how his divisional peers, Donald Cerrone and Rafael dos Anjos, responded to the verbal onslaughts of Conor McGregor at the Go Big press conference Friday.
Conor McGregor was all-over the two men, who are set to contest the UFC lightweight title in December, for the entire event. Though Cerrone did get a couple of nice shots in, “The Notorious” was the clear winner of the vast majority of exchanges.
We were scoring them using the 10 point must system.
In the aftermath of the event, Stockton, California hard man Nate Diaz took to twitter to slate the performance’s of his fellow lightweights….

A tad harsh.
The back and forth between McGregor and the lightweight division’s best, had many mouths watering at the prospect of his inevitable move to 155lbs. While McGregor vs dos Anjos, or Cerrone, would both be magnificent match-ups, connoisseurs of trash-talk might prefer the brash Dublin native to face off against Diaz.
Belligerent badass Diaz is one of the most intense individuals in MMA, and he seems genuinely hateful toward most opponents. If you put he and McGregor together it would make for a tremendously entertaining build-up. Every single promotional event would be teeming with volatility. It might actually be dangerous.
As exciting as Conor’s tenure in the featherweight division has been, it seems likely that his lightweight odyssey will be even more so. There are big challenges and engaging personalities awaiting him 10lbs north.
We can’t wait.
