Five months have passed since Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather met in a Las Vegas ring, and although there was goodwill in the immediate aftermath of the bout, tensions have grown between the pair since.
As the Irishman has called for the undefeated boxer to step into an octagon, Mayweather has been quick to remind him what transpired in the T-Mobile Arena.
Mayweather has retired for the second time, with his 50-0 record solidified, while McGregor is set for a return to the UFC, although there has been no confirmation of a fight.
As both men sit idle, tensions were always going to spill over on social media, and sure enough, this is exactly what came to pass last night.
The duo traded insults on Instagram, by posting pictures of the fight.
However, there may be more appetite amongst his fans for McGregor to return to MMA, rather than stepping back into the ring with Mayweather.
