Is there anything Conor McGregor cannot do?
The Notorious One is bidding for UFC history this week in New York, as he attempts to become to the first fighter in the history of the promotion to hold two titles simultaneously.
McGregor is taking on Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight belt, and was in Madison Square Garden today for an open workout before the event.
In an arena partly famous for basketball, the Dubliner took on a shot, and simply nailed it.
Speaking in the aftermath, McGregor reasserted his confidence ahead of Saturday night.
“I’ve had a crazy year.
“I wouldn’t miss this event. I built this event.
“On Saturday night I become immortal. I’m ready to stop my opponent in devastating fashion.”
Asked about his preparation for the fight, he was buoyant that he is in as good shape as ever.
“How do I look? I’m feeling better than I look.”
He went on to state that he will stop Alvarez within one round.
UFC 205 takes place in New York on Saturday night, with a stacked card which promises to be the promotion’s best event yet.
