Affordable Alternative To Watch Mayweather Vs McGregor In Las Vegas Has Just Been Offered

It’s now just over three weeks out from the spectacle that is the boxing match between the legendary Floyd Mayweather and MMA’s biggest star, Conor McGregor.

Set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 26th, the fight is being billed as perhaps the most lucrative fight in history, surpassing that of Mayweather’s clash with Manny Pacquiao back in 2015.

According to ESPN, there are still some 3000 tickets available in the arena, the cheapest of which have a face value of an eye-watering $3,500 on Ticketmaster. With capacity set in the region of 20,000, uptake of the tickets has been strong in the ten days since they were first released.

Much of the hundreds of millions of dollars that are expected to be generated from the fight will come from the pay-per-view subscriptions that should come in their millions.

At just under $100 in the States and a little under $30 in the UK and Ireland, fans State-side will be hoping that their significant investment is rewarded with a memorable contest between the debutant McGregor and the unbeaten Mayweather.

Now, ESPN has reported that in addition to the arena tickets and the pay-per-view option, tickets for a closed-circuit feed of the fight will also be available in Las Vegas on August 26th.

With eight venues set to broadcast the spectacle, tickets went on sale on Wednesday for a reasonable $150.

A similar offering was made available to fans for the Mayweather – Pacquiao clash at MGM Resorts in Las Vegas and some 46,000 people took up the chance to see that hotly anticipated clash.

With $6.9 million in revenue generated from that closed-circuit television offering, it certainly makes sense from a business perspective to provide the same options on August 26th, when interest could well be even greater.
