There had been rumours circulating for some weeks that the Canadian could not agree a new deal with Dana White and the UFC, with St-Pierre apparently extremely unhappy with the offer that was on the table.
White has publicly spoken out against the former UFC Champion on several occasions over the past couple of months claiming that he did not believe St-Pierre was actually someone who wanted to fight again.
Whatever their differences, it seems the 35-year-old has finally had enough as, speaking on the MMA Hour on Monday night, he told Ariel Helwani that he was finally done with the UFC and will be looking to move to another MMA promotion.
Many had suspected that St-Pierre was destined to make his long awaited return at UFC 206 in Toronto, however it can now finally be confirmed that that will not be the case. Georges St-Pierre’s UFC days are officially over.
Check out some of the latest updates and reaction to the massive news below;
