Watch: Barnstorming José Aldo Promo Reminds Us All Just How Dangerous He Is

José Aldo

José Aldo Junior is backed into a corner. Having been knocked out after just 13 seconds by Conor McGregor at UFC 194 in December, the Brazilian has been largely forgotten about.

He has a shot at redemption with Frankie Edgar at UFC 200, for the interim featherweight title and a rematch with McGregor.

Aldo reigned as king of the 145lb division for years, not being beaten in over a decade. It is important to remember that he did not fall to the top.

He has scored some of the most vicious knockouts in the history of the UFC, putting away some of the very best fighters on the roster.

To say we’re excited for July is an understatement, but this also acts as a timely reminder about how dangerous Aldo is.

Despite being caught by ‘The Notorious’ early in the fight, had he survived that blow he may well have gone on to retain his crown, and be defending the title proper rather than just the interim title at the July flagship event.
