One of the MMA world’s most well-known names has voiced his support for those caught up in storm Ophelia, which has been battering Ireland since Monday morning.
Originally effecting southerly areas, the storm has now moved north as the afternoon has progressed with the ex-hurricane set to effect the entire country.
Ireland’s meteorological service, Met Éireann, have put in place a nationwide status red weather warning and urged the public to stay indoors for the duration of the storm.
With such devastating weather hitting the country, Helwani, an MMA journalist with a close connection to Ireland given the rise of the UFC’s biggest star Conor McGregor, has tweeted his support for those impacted by the storm.
Hope everyone in Ireland (and neighboring areas) stays safe and sound during Hurricane Ophelia. Erin go bragh! ??
