McGregor Reminds Fans Of His Infamous Speech At The 2016 MMA Awards As Return Theories Circulate

Multiple fan theories are now circulating about a potential 2018 return for Conor McGregor while the UFC superstar has just sent out a reminder of his epic acceptance speech at the 2016 ‘World MMA Awards’.

With Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson booked for the UFC 223 main event this April, Dana White recently confirmed that the pair would be squaring off for the undisputed title.

However, the UFC superstar also bizarrely confirmed that Conor McGregor has not yet been stripped of his lightweight title leaving fans wondering what the hell is actually happening in the UFC’s 155 lbs division.

Eddie Alvarez recently suggested that the promotion is simply leaving the official stripping of the SBG star to a point in time that will result in maximum promotional impact for UFC 223 while multiple fans have begun to suspect that McGregor is lining himself up for a trilogy bout with Nate Diaz this summer.

The most popular theory now proposes that the ‘Notorious’ Irishman will indeed be stripped of his lightweight title in the coming weeks before McGregor vs Diaz III will take place this summer. The trilogy bout will market itself as a number one contender bout with the winner then facing the champion (Ferguson or Nurmagomedov) at some point in September/November.

Whether any of the above actually transpires or not remains to be seen. However, what is certain is that McGregor has dedicated himself once again to training and, posting on his Instagram account on Wednesday morning, the SBG man was keen to remind fans of how he worked his way to the top.

Publishing a clip of his infamous speech at the 2016 World MMA Awards, McGregor stated that he’s changed fighting ‘many times over’.

‘There’s another man that must be slain. Another Champion that must be dethroned. There’s more numbers that must be broken. I need to feed all you bums because yous’ bums don’t work.’
