UFC Winnipeg’s main event on Saturday night featured one of the UFC’s most enthralling moments of the year as Rafael Dos Anjos unloaded the longest combo in the promotion’s history on Robbie Lawler.
Dos Anjos was on the back of a two-fight losing streak in 2016 before making the decision to move up to the welterweight division. Since then, the former lightweight champion has become a serious candidate for comeback fighter of the year, winning all three of his fights in 2017 and announcing himself as a serious contender for the UFC’s 170 lbs title.
At UFC Winnipeg on Saturday night, Dos Anjos absolutely dominated Robbie Lawler in their five-round main event steamrolling the former champion to a 50-45 victory on all three judge’s scorecards.
However, despite the fact that there were several noteworthy moments in the enthralling main event, one exchange, in particular, had MMA fans around the world in awe.
Unloading a vicious barrage on Lawler, RDA unknowingly released the longest combo in UFC history and now, the promotion’s announcer, Bruce Buffer, has released some first-person footage of the explosive moment.
