Conor McGregor Sends Clear Message To Mayweather As Boxer Refutes UFC Reports

Conor McGregor has sent a short and clear message to Floyd Mayweather after the boxer stated that he would not be fighting in the UFC.

On Wednesday afternoon, the world of combat sports was once again rocked by news involving Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather as Dana White claimed to be in negotiations with the undefeated boxer regarding a potential UFC contract.

Speaking to ESPN, the UFC President claimed that the talk was real and that ‘Money’ Mayweather was legitimately considering a foray into the octagon.

“We’re talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal,” White told ESPN. “It’s real. He was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren’t real? He usually tips his hand when he’s in the media and then that sh-t ends up happening.

“We’re interested in doing something with Floyd. Everything is a realistic possibility. Mayweather vs. McGregor f—ing happened. Anything is possible.”

However, just as the speculation was hitting fever pitch, Mayweather poured cold water on the reports firmly stating that he was simply not going to fight in the UFC.

“I’m not doing it, but I’m saying what I could do to make a billion dollars quick. I never said I was going to fight in the UFC. Would and could do are different things – I’m not going to do it though.”

It didn’t take Conor McGregor very long to respond to Mayweather’s comments with the UFC’s lightweight champion sending out a very clear message to the undefeated boxer in two short tweets.
