We’re only two weeks out from the biggest combat sports event of our generation when Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather step into the ring at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Since the worldwide media tour, there hasn’t been as much verbal sparring coming from either camp as both fighters opt to focus on their preparations but one of the dominant narratives over the last number of weeks has been the weight of the gloves which both fighters will wear in the ring.
At this moment, the two fighters are expected to wear 10-ounce gloves but the Nevada Athletic Commission are to vote soon on whether to allow the fighters to wear eight-ounce gloves.
Many believe a lighter glove will be an advantage to McGregor and he certainly sees it this way too as he remarked during his live media work out that if they both wear eight ounce gloves, McGregor will knock out Floyd in one round.
I believe McGregor just said if they wear 8 ounces it will take him 1 round to win.

The vote by the NAC is set to take place on August 16, just ten days before the fight is due to take place.
