Irish MMA fans will switch their focus to Paddy Holohan this weekend as he looks to make it two wins on the bounce in the UFC.
With Conor McGregor dominating the media after his heroics last weekend, one could be forgiven for forgetting that Paddy Holohan is fighting this Saturday night.
‘The Hooligan’ is unbeaten in eleven professional fights and will be looking to extend that record to twelve at UFC Fight Night this weekend. The SBG fighter’s preparations have been disrupted by the news that his original opponent Louis Gaudinot has pulled out and will be replaced by Chris Kelades. Kelades is 7-1 in professional bouts and will be making his UFC debut during the event in Nova Scotia.
Fight Night is being headlined by Rory McDonald and Tarec Saffiedine but Irish eyes will be on ‘The Hooligan’ as he looks to build on his impressive debut showing at UFC Fight Night Dublin, where he submitted Josh Sampo in the first round.
Holohan is a submission specialist so don’t be surprised to see Kelades taste defeat by way of tap out on Saturday night.
Here’s Holohan speaking after his victory in Dublin.
