The promotion’s last return to Dublin took place in February and proved to be a massive success as James Gallagher defeated Steven Graham in the main event and Myles Price defeating Peter Queally in the co-main.
The event featured a plethora of Irish MMA fighters with the likes of Will Fleury, Richard Kiely and Paul Redmond and any others all picking up wins in front of the raucous hometown support.
Kiefer Crosbie, another Irish winner on the night, had announced to the media that the promotion would be returning to Dublin in September, with Bellator confirming shortly after however the date was not revealed.
September’s event, which takes place on a Friday night, will be the fourth time that the promotion has hosted an event in Ireland, with Bellator 169 in December 2016 their first show on Irish soil.
Given the level of hype following February’s show and the success of the Irish fighters involved there’s no doubt that September’s event will be another landmark occasion for MMA in the country.
