Paulie Malignaggi’s highly anticipated bare-knuckle boxing debut is on the horizon as he gets set to clash with heated rival Artem Lobov at Bareknuckle Fighting Championship’s sixth event in Florida on Saturday.
The pair have been on a collision course since Malignaggi’s beef with Lobov’s teammate Conor McGregor during the lead up to the Notorious One’s fight with Floyd Mayweather.
After Lobov won his BKFC debut against Jason Knight two months ago, the fight between the former UFC featherweight and Malignaggi was made official, with the pair trading both verbal and physical shots over the past few weeks.
During the final press conference for Saturday night’s event, Malignaggi began taunting Lobov asking “how many sparring partners beat the sh*t” out of him as the SBG fighter quickly rose from his seat only to be held back by former UFC light-heavyweight Anthony “Rumble” Johnson.
Artem Lobov and Paulie Malignaggi can't seem to agree on who actually "needs the money" at #BKFC6 👀

Speaking during the press conference, Lobov then outlined that money was the only motivation for Malignaggi to take the upcoming fight.
“Listen guys, the talk is over for me. I just wanna get this man in there on Saturday night and show the world what happens when you run your f—ing mouth like he did.”
“You know he’s coming off a couch, this guy is only here for the money. We all know it. This is, once again like I said, the sad truth of boxing. Could happen to any one of us. 1-5 boxer retires from brain damage and they’re all broke. This is just the sad truth of combat sports. Unfortunately, this happened to Paulie.
“So, unfortunately, he is here having to do that. But you know, what are you going to do? Saturday night, he’s going to make a nice paycheck, I’m going to make two holes in his head, and we’re gonna go home happy.”
