Wow… that is a knockout for the ages.
Valentina Shevchenko defended her flyweight belt at UFC 238 with an absolutely vicious head-kick that had Jessica Eye out-cold before she hit the mat.
The flyweight champion dominated proceedings from start to finish and landed the highlight reel kick early into the second-round. It took several minutes for Eye to come around and she lay unconscious on the canvas surrounded by medical staff before the crowd cheered as she rose to her feet happy, that she was OK.

Shevchenko, however, really solidified herself as one of the baddest women on the planet and looks set to dominate the division. There could even be a third fight with Amanda Nunes around the corner. Nunes has defeated Shevchenko twice already but neither time was really convincing and a rematch with Cyborg’s conqueror could give her the chance to become the UFC’s first ever triple-champion.
It marked only the second time that a UFC women’s title fight has ended with a head-kick after Holly Holm’s dismantling of Ronda Rousey at UFC 195.

It’s hard to know what’s next for Shevchenko after such a dominant performance but rest assured they will have their hands full when taking on ‘The Bullet‘.
